General Robert E. Lee was thought to be the best "planning" type general that the confederacy had. He graduated top 5 of his class in Westpoint and became one of the most influential generals in the war. Lee won many battles including The second battle of bull run, Battle of Fredericksburg, Battle of Chancellorsville and was defeated at the Battle of Gettysburg.
