Description:
After losing the Battle of Beauport, General James Wolfe needed a victory. The English had decided on a new place of attack, however, Wolfe changed the plans last minute. He was prepared to take a gamble and attack from a place he had only seen through a telescope. On September 13 1759, Wolfe and 4000 of his men scaled a 200 foot cliff onto the Plains of Abraham. Montcalm and the French were forced to engage in a battle on that morning. The Battle of the Plains of Abraham lasted a short 15 minutes, the British dominated this battle and took over Quebec a few days later.
