jan 1, 1876 - Tom Sawyer
Description:
1. Monday morning found Tom Sawyer miserable, because it began another week's slow suffering in school. He generally began that day with wishing he had had no intervening holiday.
2. Yes I have and I had to fight through those tough times by doing things that I actually love to do.
3. Tom's got a case of the Mondays, and he does everything he can to stay home from school. He pretends that his sore toe hurts so much that he's going to die and he pretends so hard that he begins to believe his own lies. Sid woke up and shook Oliver while looking in his face anxiously. A few seconds later he started to get stressed and felt sorry for not waking up earlier to the situation. In the beginning Aunt Polly thought that he was pretending, but when she saw Tom laying down on the floor she freaked out a little bit. Her face grew white and her lips trembled
4. She made one end of the silk thread fast to Tom's tooth with a loop and tied the other to the bed-post. Then she seized the chunk of fire and suddenly thrust it almost into the boy's face. Now the tooth hung dangling by the bed-post.
5. Tom was the envy of every boy he met because the gap in his upper row of teeth enabled him to expectorate in a new and admirable way.
