Description:
After preaching among the Nephites, Nephi and Lehi then travel into the lands that were controlled by the Lamanites. They first went into the great city of Zarahemla. Here they were opposed by many of the Nephite dissenters who had been living among the Lamanites. However, the spirit was with them and they preached with such power that many of those dissenters were convinced of their error and even began to return to the Nephites to preach themselves, trying to repair the damage they had done.
After the Nephite dissenters began to repent the Lamanites began to listen to Nephi and Lehi. Again, their preaching was with such power, and they were given their words by the spirit to such effect that they had a great success among the Lamanites. We are told that at this time 8,000 Lamanites were converted in Zarahemla and the land round about.
