aug 25, 1950 - Bertie the Brain
Description:
Bertie the Brain was the first game that used a player vs AI system. However, the game itself did not use visual graphics or moving parts, rather utilised light bulbs to change how the display looked which means that there was few, if any, graphical capabilities. The game was tic tac toe, which seems simple at first, however, Bertie the Brain was the first game that was able to use an AI and an adjustable difficulty setting, meaning that the game was more important for the future of consoles and games than at first glance.
