Description:
Lord Kitchener -the British army officer- abolished the army of Abdullah al-Khalifa -Sudanese ruler after Mahdi- at the battle of Omdurman.
Lord Kitchener then moved down the Nile river with gunboats to tackle the French General Marchand, who was alarming Fashoda -a British territory. This stimulated the Fashoda Crisis and eventually the French backed out.
