Description:

The Department of Homeland Security was created by the government in order to fight against terrorism in the aftermath of 9/11. They are responsible for the protection of the United States against terrorist attacks. They also have other duties such as border security, customs, and emergency management. Additionally, the DHS is responsible for the new National Threat Advisory system. This was the largest reorganization of government since the Department of Defense was created.
