Description:
About two years after the last open rebellion many more of the Nephites defected over to the Lamanites. There doesn't seem to be any indication of open rebellion at this time, forcing people to flee. Rather, these Nephites seem to have gotten the idea to join with the Lamanites first, and then stir up trouble.
Maybe it was because of this that the Lamanites were more easily persuaded. After all, these Nephites had not yet been defeated in battle, and they were coming more with plans than out of anger.
But, for whatever reason, these new dissenters were able to stir up the Lamanites and they started to prepare for battle.
