Description:
With the Gaddianton Robbers having entrenched themselves among the Nephites there arose a new contention that broke out in open rebellion. The leaders of this rebellion are not given, and it doesn't seem to have lasted long.
This rebellion did give rise to open conflicted and many were killed. But the rebellion was eventually defeated and the rebels fled to join the Lamanites.
These rebels tried to convince the Lamanites to go to war again, but the Lamanites still remembers the many losses they had suffered in the past. It had been 20 years since the war lead by Amalikiah, and only 10 since the time that Coriantumr had led them. The survivors were likely still around, and their children seem to have been strongly influenced by their stories. At least enough to not be swayed by a few Nephite rebels who had themselves just been defeated.
