Description:
In the beginning of this year there were many Nephites who joined together and went as a body into the land Northward (most likely Northern Mexico and Texas area at first, and later spread from there).
This first group was 5,400 men, plus their families. So it was easily over 10,000 people total.
We are told that Alma's son, Corianton, went into the Land Northward, and it is likely that he went with this group as their High Priest. After this he is never mentioned again in the record.
