Description:
After loosing the city of Nephihah, the Lamanites never again won a single battle. For a number of months they were driven by the Nephites from land to land and city to city.
Finally, all the Lamanite armies were gathered in one place in the Land of Moroni. The Nephite armies in the east were also all gathered against them. This included Moroni, Pahoran, Lehi, and Teancum.
That night Teancum, once again feeling the righteous indignation swell in him, took his servant and crept into the camp of the Lamanites. This he had done before, when he crept in to kill Amalikiah, but this time he was after Ammoron.
Going in stealth he found the tent of the king and slipped inside. Once in he drove a javelin into the heart of Ammoron, and then fled.
However, unlike Amalikiah, who died instantly, Ammoron was able to call out to his guards. They persued Teancum, overtook him and killed him.
After the death of Ammoron, his son Tubaloth became King of the Lamanites.
