Modeled after the Declaration of Independence. Proclaimed that all male citizens were equal before the law. Portrayed values expressed during the revolution, but women were excluded from many benefits of this document causing some to become quite angry. Inspired by the works of those such as Locke and Rousseau, well-known philisophes.
