Description:
Near the beginning of the year Moroni received an Epistle for Helaman, who had taken command of the army in west.
Helaman gave a detailed account of the war in that part, and described the several victories they had had over the Lamanites in the past years.
He closed this epistle with a comment that they had not received sufficient help from the government in Zarahemla, but they were holding on.
After receiving the epistle from Helaman and reading it to his armies, Moroni then sent an epistle to Pahoran, the Chief Judge.
We are not given the full record of what he said, but the basic message was "Send Helaman some help." He also seems to have asked for assistance to be sent to some other cities as well.
