jun 28, 1919 - Treaty of Versailles

Description:

The peace treaty was negotiated in the months of January through June of 1919 in Paris. The majority of input was made by the Allied powers with basically no German participation. It ended up being 15 parts with 440 articles consisting of reassignments of German boundaries, forced Germany to accept liability and cover costs of loss and damage for WWI, and had Germany disarm. World War 1 officially came to an end with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on June 28th, 1919. For five subsequent years France and Belgium enforced the conditions leaving Germans angry and humiliated.
