Description:

The telegraph was invented by Samuel Morse and other inventors to quickly communicate. Using the battery and magnetic system, he successfully created a machine used for the long-distance transmission of textual or symbolic messages like morse code. It worked by sending electrical signals between wires at different posts. This invention was very important because it changed the communication for civilians and it as used for signalling across railroads. Morse funded the set up of telegraph system spanning from Washington D.C. to Baltimore with the help of the United States Congress. This invention helped arise other inventions like the insulation of telegraph wires and much later the invention of the fax machine and Internet.
