Description:

From the telegram of the military governor MA Folbaum , dated August 14, 1916 (27 Aug NS), the city of Verny:

Move immediately from Andijan 8 more companies with artillery and cavalry to Przhevalsky district and from Tashkent to call at least 8 companies with artillery to Verny for the operation in the direction of Zharkent and Przhevalsk . The Karkarin Fair is besieged by rebels. More than 5 thousand people participated in the battles.

(The mentioned Karkarin Fair , being a major trading center of its time, ceased to exist in 1916 , as a result of the seizure by the rebels. These events at the fair itself, in separate sources, may be referred to as a separate “Karkarinskoe Uprising”)
