Description:
The evening of April 18th, 1775, British troops marched from Boston to Concord in order to seize a supply of weapons. This is when Paul Revere (and other riders) went on the famous ride to sound the alarm. Fighting broke out following the confrontation in Lexington, however, the British soon started retreating. Many battles followed but the outcome came in 1783 when the colonists won independence.
