Description:
The inventor of the radio was Guglielmo Marconi, an Italian engineer. Through capturing radio waves, he was able to broadcast sounds from all over the world. By the end of the 1920’s, over 100 million radios were in use. The radio created a common experience through broadcasting news, music, and baseball games, and it was later used by Franklin D. Roosevelt to unite the American people through “fireside chats”.
