Description:

Wilson introduced his Fourteen Points at the Paris Peace Conference. To his dismay, it was largely rejected by the other nations. The leaders of England. Japan, and France wanted to punish Germany severely for the war. Germany, Italy, and Russia were not invited to the drafting of the Treaty of Versailles, so while Germany was blamed for the majority of the war, they also had to pay unfair reparations. The Treaty of Versailles was meant to end World War I; its conditions led directly to World War II.
