Description:

The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) was founded by W.E.B. DuBois during the Harlem Renaissance. Its goal was to end segregation through educating black citizens and helping them integrate into American society as equals. Martin Luther King Jr. was inspired by this ideology later on during the Civil Rights Movement.
