feb 27, 73 BC - Title of Liberty

Description:

When Captain Moroni saw the dissention of Amalikiah and his followers and their desire to overthrow the freedom of the people he was angry.
He tore his coat, and from it he fashioned a standard that he raised on a high pole. He wrote on it "In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children."
This standard became known as the Title of Liberty.

Once Title of Liberty was made he went among the people in Zarahemla and called them to the defense of their country.
The people flocked to Moroni, tearing their garments as a covenant to defend their freedom and their rights of worship.
Copies of the Title of Liberty were made and sent throughout all the land, where they were raised in each city and the people rallied around them.
