aug 18, 1920 - The 19th Amendment

Description:

On August 18th, 1920, the 19th Amendment officially becomes adopted into the constitution. The Amendment stated that the right to vote should not be allowed to people by their race. This meant that women were now allowed to vote in things such as elections. This was an issue that had stuck with the United States ever since they achieved independence from the British in 1783. This was a great step forward for women's rights and a great step forward for the nation.
