He was pushed around and ended up loosing hsi dad. He had originaly let his dad sit in the snow since he was so tired. But the sierns went on and he had to go inside with all the Jews pushing him he could not look for his father and went inside. Once he came back out Elie looked for hours and finally found him, he was exactly where he had left his father just covered in more snow. Elie could tell his father had become weaker.
