Description:

Christopher Columbus was a European explorer that sailed across the Pacific Ocean to the Americas in 1492. Because of his findings, many explorers and colonists sought out to the Americas for the new resources that they did not have in their own lands. This new land became known as the “New World” where people such as the English were allowed to settle and explore the new world. Columbus’s travels eventually led to the first successful settlement of English colonists in Jamestown.
