Description:

French prohibited meeting of AEC in Kpalimé (see TCOR 1st Session, pp. 380) on the grounds, that it would make to much useless "noise". In British Togo the Ewes were not prevented from holding public meetings, and the All-Ewe Conference held an important gathering at Ho on 28 November. All the Asogli state council were present, as well as important paramount and divisional chiefs, and the conference gave Sylvanus Olympio authorization to present the Ewe case at the UN.
