Description:
After leaving the sacred records with his son, Helaman, and pronouncing a final message and prophecy to the Nephites, Alma leaves Zarahemla as if traveling to Melek, and he is never seen again.
The scripture do not state that he was translated, but rather that the people assumed he was taken in the same manner as Moses.
Because we know that Moses was translated, it is generally believed that Alma was also translated.
This happened just after the battle with Zerahemnah.
