Description:

The Treaty of Versailles official ended the first World War. The treaty forced Germany to pay many war reparations to the allies, and official created the League of Nations (the precursor to the UN). Despite helping to create the League of Nations, the United States never joined it. The treaty would eventually result in the rise of Hitler and fascism in Europe due to the massive reparations on Germany.
