Description:
After spending several days with Amulek, and teaching his family, Alma again goes to preach to the people of the City of Ammonihah. This time Amulek goes with him.
Because of this second witness many started to believe. The leaders of the city, fearing that this would damage their income, challenged Alma and Amulek before the people.
It is Amulek who primarily contends with the judges, particularly Zeezrom, with such effect as to convert many who saw and listened to the debate. Zeezrom himself was converted by Amulek's words.
However, the rest of the judges became angry. They cast Alma and Amulek into prison, and drove all the men who believed out of the city. Then they took the families of those men and burned them all alive in a huge bonfire, where they also burned the scriptures.
