Description:
After they were defeated by Alma, and Amlici was killed, the Lamanite king that had gone with Amlici again raised an army and attacked the Nephites.
In this fight Alma would have gone out, but due to the wound he had received in the previous battle he was unable to do so. He did order a large army to go out and meet them, and they were again driven back.
Thus, in one year three battles were fought in the same area, and tens of thousands had died by the sword.
