mar 19, 121 BC - Expedition of Ammon

Description:

In the year that King Benjamin died, King Mosiah felt a desire to learn what had happened to the people who had left with Zeniff. So, he sent a group men to find them.
Now, Mosiah was born after Zeniff had died, and thus many years after his people had left Zarahemla. While he would have known of their expedition, it is likely that his father, or others of that generation, were the catalyst for this expedition to find what happened to them.

The leader of this expedition was Ammon, a descendant of Zarahemla (I think a great-grandson). Ammon was a righteous man who had been converted by the last address of King Benjamin. I believe he kept a record, a kind of mission log of his expedition.

At first the expedition could not find the people of Zeniff, and when they finally did they were arrested and taken before King Limhi. When it was known who they were Limhi rejoiced.
