The date is when believed to have been formed- The Haudenosaunee Confederacy consists of five different nations in which their common goal is to "live in harmony". Those in the Confederacy are known to be the originators of REPRESENTATIONAL DEMOCRACY which is a democracy developed to be more efficient than DIRECT DEMOCRACY. Aboriginals practiced this democracy long before Europeans but they adopted the government system and altered it to "fit" their modern society better.
