I went to watch a play called "In the Blood". It was a modern take on the Scarlet Letter. The setting takes place under a bridge. A homeless woman who is a person of color takes care of her 5 children. A haunting play about the reality for those who are impoverished live everyday, as well as the struggles that someone who is a woman of and is impoverished goes through. She faces struggles with those of her own race as well. One of the hardest plays to watch, definitely not for the light hearted...it stuck with me deeply.
