Description:
The African Federation was the result of a widely-supported coup in the United African Republic that was in favor of major political and economic reform. the coup succeeded with little resistance outside the capital of Addis Ababa and a few major cities around the Republic. The new government, lead by a council of 270 senators named the 'Council of Africa' swiftly enacted strong political and economic reform, breaking up larger and more powerful provinces, creating news provinces and the Federal City Districts of Nairobi, Pretoria, Kinshasa, Antananarivo, Cairo, Alexandria, Tunis, Lagos, Bamako, and Tabuk. The Council also enacted economic reforms that strengthened the African Dollar and improved trade with neighboring countries.
