jul 21, 1788 - Ratification of US Constitution
Description:
The ratification of the constitution could only become official once New Hampshire, the last of the nine necessary states needed to achieve the 2/3 vote of the 13 colonies for the ratification. Though this was far from the final document, as the amendments of the Bill of Rights brought revolutionary rights to the individual (such as the right to a speedy trial, privacy rights, and freedom of speech and press).
