mar 30, 1688 - Glorious Revolution

Description:

The Glorious Revolution was the overthrowing of King James II by William and Mary, who were backed by a coalition of English MPs, who were upset by James II's Catholicism and ties with France. This caused them to seek out a proper king, or more specifically a protestant one, and found one in Prince William III. After convincing them to seize the throne, they led a bloodless rebellion where King James II fled Enlgand in fear, giving up the throne.
