Although the Museum of Sex is not in my neighborhood area, I wanted to include it as a part of the event that relates to the #MeToo movement in Japan. While Nobuyoshi Araki, who is award-winning photographer, had his exhibition called "The Incomplete Sex" at Museum of Sex, Kaori who has worked with him for 16 years as his personal model claimed that she was sexually abused, did not get paid in every shooting, and was not allowed to have a contract agreement because what he does is an "ART". Kiko Mizuhara, who has also worked with Araki, praised Kaori's braveness in coming forward. And she claimed that she had a similar experience when she had a semi-nude photo shoot. It is a brave/risky decision for women to come forward in Japanese society, male-dominated society. Therefore, Kaori and Mizuhara accusing the well known male photographer when he had an exhibition in NYC was a big news and impact to Japanese young female artist like me. https://www.museumofsex.com/portfolio_page/the_incomplete_araki/
