feb 29, 1764 - Sugar Act The tax on sugar

Description:

When the Sugar and Molasses Act was about to end, Parliament passed the Sugar Act requiring colonists to pay a tax on sugar (6 pence per gallon). The act was forced to be repealed when there was a decline of taxed items.
