Description:
In 1572 Sir Francis Drake went on the first independent voyage from Panama to Plymouth with a crew of 73 other men. In 1577, Queen Elizabeth sent Drake out against the Spanish along the Pacific coast where he completed the first full circumnavigation around South America.
