dec 16, 1773 - Boston Tea Party. December 16th, 1773 The Boston Tea Party was a rebellious act from the colonists in reaction to the extra taxes imposed upon them by Great Britain. The sons of liberty attacked ships carrying tea and in response, Great Britain gave harsher penalteis and taxes.
