Description:

This was the greatest naval battle of the age, where the Christian states (1800 canons) defeated the Ottoman Fleet (750 canons). This was also the last major battle with galley fleets. The importance of cannons and guns showed with the victory of Christians, and the Ottoman Fleet lost 25,000/80,000 of their men. 250 of their vessels were captured or destroyed, but it was more difficult to replace the smart navigators and warriors than the ships.
