apr 4, 480 BC - Battle of Thermopylae
Description:
The Battle of Thermopylae was fought between allied Greek city-states under Leonidas and The Persian empire. It ended in a Persian victory. It was mostly the greeks blocking out the Persians in a mountain sea pass. The Greeks had a traitor which told Persia how to go around the greeks. The Greeks left a speedbump of about 7,000 soldiers to help push back Persians so the rest of Greece could leave. The so-called "300" Spartans. They all died.
