dec 31, 1847 - Seneca Falls Convention
The Seneca falls convention was the first women's rights gathering in America. This gathering called for the right for women to vote. During this time only white land owning men could do so. They also spoke for women's rights in general. At this time a Woman was basically property her whole life. During her childhood she was the property of her father and during her adulthood she was the property of her husband.
