The Industrial Revolution was a series of technological breakthroughs that changed transportation and production around the world. Some of the transportation advancements were the steam boat and the locomotive. These vehicles caused an economic boom as much more could be shipped for much less. Other inventions such as the cotton gin and the introduction of textile mills made production much faster and cheaper as well.
