may 21, 226 - Abyssal King

Description:

Finally, at the bottom of the hellish dungeon she was thrown into so long ago, she comes across the reason it exists. An Abyssal King, wrapped in powerfully enchanted chains, hardly able to move, but definitely able to cast spells. Izzaga attacks the king of the dungeon, it's prisoner zero. Spell after spell of soul-rending fury strikes her, but due to her immortal soul, she survives it all, until soon the foul magic does nothing to her, and nothing impedes her consuming of the evil being.

Power surges through her, foul and corruptive, but wholly hers. Izzaga, now with the power to craft incredibly complex spells, creates a pair of arcane wings and launches herself at extreme speeds up and up and up, past the various layers of the Abyssal vault that was her prison. Past the clipped wings of Maoh, past the beasts and insects, and monsters that tormented her so, before finally breaking free and flying up from the hellish chasm she was thrown into.

And flies directly to the village of the man and woman who killed Nordra. Crashing through the village, tearing through the guards, the soldiers, and making her way directly to the square, and discovering a statue dedicated to Nordra and herself.

This is when she discovers how long she's been in the Abyssal Vault. Three hundred years passed since she and Nordra were betrayed. Their betrayers were immediately discovered and slain for their betrayal, and Nordra was hailed as a hero for her efforts.

Madness soon takes over, and she flees the village, flying beyond villages and even the continent, landing in a strange new place, she stumbles upon an injured woman. Delirious, she asks Izzaga for a favor, in exchange for taking her eating her. To take vengeance on those that killed her family.

Flash forward, and the nearby village that war responsible for killing her is in flames. Dozens lie dead, and the lone survivor looks on in horror at the reptile in front of him as it devours the village leader, and head guard. Text appears above it's head, black and foul.

The Great Devourer is born.
