jan 30, 1781 - The Critical Period Key Concept 3.2,II

Description:

The Critical Period from 1781 to 1787 was very crucial to the development of early America and how she would run in the future. There were many common qualities amongst the state constitutions such as: the Bill of Rights, Separation of Powers, and Legislative Supremacy. The Bill of Rights protected the basic freedoms of speech, religion, trial by jury, etc. The Separation of Powers split the power into 3 branches known as the legislative, executive, and the courts. The Legislative Supremacy sought to give more power to the people and weaken the executive branch.
