oct 29, 1775 - Minutemen,Lexington and Concord Key Concept 3.1,IV

Description:

When word got around in 1775 that King George III refused the colonies demands and was sending troops to Massachusetts, the Minutemen were already attacking British posts and stockpiling their weapons west of Boston in Concord. There were many Sons of Liberty riding across colonial territory to spread the word that the British were advancing to Concord. Some of these riders included Paul Revere, William Dawes, and Samuel Prescott. 80 Minutemen stopped at Lexington Green to stop the advancing British troops from going to Concord.
