In 1774, it was the First Continental Congress that would eventually lead out to the American Revolution. The 55 delegates that met in Philadelphia agreed to back Massachusetts after coming up with plan to resist British imperialism. This plan was to ask for colonial rights and to end colonial taxation while boycotting all British goods including exports, imports, and consumption. They had all agreed on going back to their colonies and prepare for military confrontation.
