jul 4, 1688 - The Glorious Revolution, Salutary Neglect Key Concept 2.2,I

Description:

Several British aristocrats planned a coup around 1688-1689, because James II decided that he would rule without the Parliament’s influence. Once the British aristocrats overthrew James II, they then saw to it that William and Mary were to assume the throne. This quick ascent of power both peacefully and without opposition would become to be known as the Glorious Revolution. Seeing the success of the coup, the American colonist quickly overthrew Andros and forced him out of Boston and thus began a plentiful period known as Salutary Neglect.
