Description:
In New York City, a Fire burned down a textile factory. which killed 145 workers, During this time period they would lock the rooms that workers were in. There was a room full of women and children and none of them survived. This shows the oppression of women in the workforce during this time period by never opening the door so they could run out of thew building.
