Description:

This was a federal fort in South Carolina. Lincoln didn’t want to fire the first gun, so he sent a ship of reinfourcements out to the fort to see what South Carolina’s move would be. They could have either attacked the and the fort, or they could have passively watched which would have ssemed weak and it would ahve made the Southern states look not genuine about the whole secession thing.
